Ely Folk School Marketing and Hospitality Manager Job Description
The Ely Folk School Marketing and Hospitality Manager is responsible for implementing and evaluating the marketing initiatives of the Ely Folk School. They will lead EFS in streamlining and unifying our brand, image, and online presence. They will ensure that these efforts accurately reflect the organization’s core message and tone and are delivered in a polished and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, knowledge in Meta Business Suite and Canva and comfort in customer service and navigating databases.
This is a new role that works closely with the Program Director and reports to the Executive Director. This role starts at 30 hours per week with potential to increase to full time hours. The anticipated work week is Wednesday through Sunday. This is an in person role. Starting wage is $20 per hour with a monthly health care stipend.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Implement and Evaluate Marketing Strategies and Activities for Ely Folk School social media
Maintain a regular social media presence
Follow and further develop the social media strategy
Implement and Evaluate Marketing Strategies and Activities for Ely Folk School email newsletters
Build and Send twice monthly email newsletters
Maintain and update email subscription list
Implement and Evaluate Marketing Strategies and Activities for the Ely Folk School website
Maintain EFS website
Solicit, format, and upload blogs
Evaluate Marketing Strategies and Activities
Track and evaluate changes in reach across social media followings, website visitors, and email audiences
Implement innovative marketing strategy upgrades
Student Registrar, in collaboration with Program Director
Oversees operations in the registration process using the Ely Folk School’s CRM software
Organize and administer class records, including student demographic data and testimonials from class evaluations. Flag comments that need Program Director response; Collect positive feedback for use in messaging
Work closely with the Program Director to communicate class details efficiently and effectively to students and prospective students
Event Coordination
Post all classes and events as events to Facebook
Create posters for each class and post to Ely Folk School window display
Classroom Management, in coordination with Program Director
Ensure proper equipment, orientation, and materials for instructors and classes
Facilitate sale of goods for students and visitors in the Mercantile
Serve as “Class Host” by welcoming students and introducing them to EFS and their instructor at the start of class
