Outdoor temperatures have been record setting and we’ve had to reschedule some of the outdoor classes previously planned during the Ely Winterfestival. An updated class list for February and a few March classes are listed below. Make sure to read the registration deadline in order to receive your materials on time.

Upcoming Spotlight: Make a Beaver Hat
Ely folks know there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. Join the instructors in a live online session. They will give you a step-by-step demonstration of the making of the hats, from cutting through the final stitching, sprinkled with fascinating facts about beavers and some lively stories, which may or may not be true. Then you will have three days to work on your hat, then return to ask Bert and Mark any questions you have about the process.
Ely Folk School is a 501c(3) non-profit funded in part by grants from the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board, Arrowhead Regional Arts Council (thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund), the Donald G. Gardner Humanities Trust, Operation Round Up through Lake Country Power, and local merchants, organizations, and individuals.
