Students will each make a mini-quilt wall hanging using fabric. The focus will be on design and color with students making choices from the materials provided and learning about the processes a quilter may go through in designing and creating a quilt. Participants are welcome to bring additional notions like buttons, ribbon or charms to add to their creation.

About the Instructor: Cecilia Rolando is a local artist who loves experimenting with new materials, techniques, and ideas. Her fabric wall hangings are explosions of color, texture, and creativity.
Cecilia has taught at the Ely Folk School, Greenstone Public Arts summer art camp for kids, community education classes, many workshops for NLAA and private students. She led the NLAA monthly NLAA Visual Arts Group for over 20 years.
