Let’s come together, have some fun and make some healthy and delicious cordials. We’ll spend a little time reviewing the benefits of hawthorn, which is one of the best herbs for the emotional and physical heart. Hawthorn is commonly used in hedges or can be found in fields. Cordials are sweet medicinal tonics, often infused with liquor and served as a post-dinner dessert
We’ll then use dried hawthorn berries, brandy, and other healthful ingredients to create the cordial: ginger, cinnamon, lemon, cardamom and more. The cordial will take six weeks to soak before being ready to use. It’s perfect as an after-dinner retreat as it also aids digestion.
About the Instructor: Jaime Brennan had a love for plants and wanted to know what they were all called starting at age 5. In a college she found a program focused on flowers and plants and graduated with a Bachelors in Horticulture. It was a natural progression for Jaime to want to know more about the power of plants and followed that to studying Herbalism with Rosemary Gladstar.
Wanting to support those that sought her help she studied with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and became a certified Health Coach. Her business, Tranquility by Jaime inspires transformation by helping create a body in balance, a mind at ease, and a satisfied soul.
