In this class you will create your own 18 to 24 inch natural Amber necklace. Amber is fossilized tree resin which possesses the look of hardened honey. It has been appreciated for its color and natural beauty since Neolithic time. It also is valued from antiquity to the present as a gemstone. Amber has been used as a power in medicinal creams and is said to have healing powers when worn in a bracelet or necklace.

As a student, you will learn basic beading techniques as you select from a variety of amber beads, cultured pearls, stone beads and glass beads to create a beautiful, natural looking necklace that will compliment almost any outfit. In addition to learning basic beading techniques, students will learn about what cords and findings work best for various jewelry projects.
