The mission of the Ely Folk School is to build community, and as such we love hosting! We’ve hosted contra dances and bonfires, front yard concerts and holiday potlucks.
Ely, Minnesota is a special place. Inhabited by the Anishinaabe people, explored by French voyageurs, settled by loggers and miners (largely from Finland and Slovenia), and visited by thousands of wilderness enthusiasts annually, Ely is rich in history.
