You will learn how to write haiku, the three-line form of Japanese poetry. A brief description and history of the form will include an explanation of what one needs to be sensitive to in nature to be successful with this poetic form. Paper, pencils and small journals will be provided.
About the Instructor: Cecilia Rolando has written haiku combined with her illustrations for 14 years in her weekly Timberjay newspaper column, “Breathing Out.” Her love and keen observation of nature makes the haiku form perfect to express what she observes.
